This workshop will use PICO-8: an online ‘fantasy console’ designed to make and share tiny games. Attendees will work on pixel art, backgrounds, and coding to create a game which will be loaded onto the Pocket Chip – a small, portable Linux computer with touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard – and displayed in the NVA galleries.
Attendees should be proficient in a visual programming language such as Scratch and also have experience with a coding language such as Python.
Please note that attendees will be completing their work on laptops, and uploading and testing their work on the NVA’s Pocket Chip.
If you are interested in purchasing a Pocket Chip, or would like to find out more about it, please see their website www.getchip.com/pages/pocketchip
